Established in 1992, we provide free independent advocacy across Forth Valley in Central Scotland to help vulnerable and marginalised people get their voice heard and rights protected. We work with people over 65 and people over 16 who have autism, a learning disability, a mental health issue, an acquired brain injury or dementia. Our service is delivered in hospitals and community settings as well as in our three local prisons. We have a committed and dedicated group of paid staff and volunteers who support and safeguard people protecting their rights under the Mental Health (Care & Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, Adults With Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, Adult Support & Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 and the Children’s Hearing (Scotland) Act 2011.
