RSPCA Suffolk East and Ipswich Branch is one of 170 Branches of the RSPCA which are all separate, registered charities. We run an Re-Homing Centre in Martlesham, Suffolk, where we take in unwanted, abandoned, abused and neglected animals and re-home them to loving new homes. We also take in wildlife and help them or transfer them to a RSPCA hospital. We also run a Veterinary Clinic in Ipswich, Suffolk where we treat the animals of people in receipt of benefits and low incomes by way of a donation scheme. We run three charity shops, two in Ipswich and the third at Felixstowe and we depend on the income raised from these shops, fundraising, donations and legacies to keep the Branch running. We receive no money from the Government or the National Lottery. It costs in excess of £450,000 to run our Animal Centre and around £40,000 to run the Vet Clinic each year. It is a challenge to meet these running costs every year, and without the support of local people we would not be able to help local animals in the way that we currently do. All help given to us is much appreciated.
