We are not about providing healthcare, charitable donations we receive enable us to provide comfort and facilities above and beyond those provided by the NHS. Enhancing a person’s visit to us can make all the difference to their well-being, improving both their recovery and overall experience. . . The charity is in place to improve the well-being and experience of our patients, and their families, while they are with us. The Trust takes into account all of our patients physical, mental, and social conditions in the treatment of their illness or injury and the charity supports this by funding many holistic items as well as specialist pieces of equipment to help to improve our services. Donations can be made to a particular area of care such as Cancer Care, the Children’s Unit (including maternity and neonatal), the Stroke Unit, Coronary Care, Dementia and elderly care. We can support various departments, i.e. Theatres, Outpatients, Rehabilitation and Research. The charity encompasses Russells Hall Acute Hospital, the Guest and Corbett Outpatient Centres and our local Community Services. We focus on Health and Well-being, Comfort and Care. The charity aims to improve the experience of our patients, and their families, while they are being treated at one of our hospitals. We purchase additional equipment and items to improve comfort. We also support our members of staff working in the local community, both at health centres and in patients’ homes, in particular rehabilitation and palliative care.
